Auditor

The Auditor of Vigo County is responsible for keeping all financial records for the County. 

Duties include, but not limited to:

Process payroll for all county employees.
Process all County Accounts Payable, including vendor claims.
Prepare w-2's & 1099's.
Official keeper of minutes, ordinances, contracts and bonds.
Administration & Reporting of all County Grants.

Calculate property tax rates based on assessed values and budget needs.
Process property tax corrections & refunds.
Conduct the Bi-Annual County Property Tax Sales, per State Code, on all property that become delinquent by 3 tax payments or more.

Process property transfers, parcel splits, combinations & annexations.
The fee for the Vigo County Auditor to convey property is ten dollars ($10) per parcel. 
As of July 2021, the fee per sales disclosure is twenty dollars ($20).
